Our story

On 01.04.1951 Meteor was founded as the foam rubber factory K.H. Bädje KG on the site of the former canning and sugar factories in Bockenem. Extensions followed and until today we are recording a steady growth.

Foundation of a subsidiary in Dover/ USA and opening of a second plant in Worbis/ Thuringia to expand capacities and open up new markets/ opportunities during the 1990s.

In the 2000s, we set up our own test center with an integrated leak testing facility for testing under real conditions, continued to expand our capacities, and invested continuously in modernizing the company.

Since 2020, Meteor GmbH, under the leadership of Aequita as the main owner, has been further strengthening its competitiveness as well as, above all, its customer orientation. A broad package of measures and investments has been adopted for this purpose. Thus, Meteor can continue to act as a competent partner, problem solver and sealing expert on the global market and be available for you.
